By Eden's Trust
At this fundraising event, Tia (aged 13) and Skye (aged 9) had between 8-10 inches cut off their beautiful long hair for charity. They donated their hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs and hair pieces to young boys and girls who have sadly lost their hair to cancer, and all money donations went to the Eden's Trust programme of guided support/survival groups and workshops for those who have lost a child. The Ilford Recorder sent a photographer to cover the event, which also included a fun day with a houseful of family and friends. The raffle comprised donated prizes of a professional photo shoot, a designer hoodie, a character bag, a personalised cushion, cup cakes and bowling tickets. The event raised a massive £1100! Well done Tia and Skye - you are stars!! Massive thanks go to their mum, Cherry, for organising the event, to RevivalSpalon in Theydon Bois for cutting the girls' hair, and to everyone who donated, both at the event and online. Photos of the event are on our Gallery page.
